The 51st edition of the Volta ao Algarve, to be held between 19 and 23 February 2025, will have a new route. It all starts in Portimão, where the race will start on the 19th. From the riverside area of Portimão, the cyclists will head to Lagos, where an exciting sprint finish on Avenida dos Descobrimentos is expected, closing the first 190 kilometres of the race. February brings racing and excitement to the Algarve International Circuit once again, and this time there will be two weekends marked by intense competition on the track near Portimão. The month will kick off on two wheels and with riders from the Moto 3 and Moto 2 world championships. Between the 10th and 13th of February, riders from both classes will carry out private tests in the Algarve. On the first two days, the Moto 3 riders will be on the track, and on the following days the track will be reserved for the Moto 2 teams in what will be the 'sweetener' for the Portuguese GP to be held in November.
