In honor of Our Lady of Mercy, the city's patron saint, the Feast of the Sovereign Mother is considered the largest religious event south of Fátima. The Feast of the Sovereign Mother is the highlight of the event. Rich in tradition, the procession is an incomparable manifestation of faith: the image of the Virgin carried on the shoulders of the men in the procession, the musical support and the crowd of faithful who complete the procession are a unique image.
